Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Elmin Aliyev won a gold medal at the international tournament dedicated to the memory of Imre Baracsi, a well-known Hungarian wrestling coach, in Budapest.
The Wrestling Federation's press service told "Report" about this.
E. Aliyev, the bronze medalist of the U-17 European Championship, defeated all his opponents in the 82 kg weight category and rose to the highest step of the podium.
Several members of the U-20 national team also participated in the traditional competition. Kamran Rajabli (72 kg), Javad Mammadov (77 kg) and Mazaim Mardanov (130 kg), who competed under the leadership of coach Emin Ahmadov, failed to win awards at the Memorial.
