Azerbaijani wrestler Islam Bazarqanov won a bronze medal at the European Championship held in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
"Report" reports that the athlete, competing in the 57 kg weight category, defeated Ivaylo Tisov (Bulgaria) in the match for third place.
This was the first medal for the Azerbaijani national team in the competition.
It should be noted that today Ali Rahimzade (65 kg) will face Ukrainian Andrey Svirid and Kenan Heybatov (70 kg) will face Hungarian Ismail Musukaev in the bronze medal matches.
