My goal at the European Championship was to become a champion.
"Report" reports with reference to the press service of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation that this was stated by Jala Aliyeva, who won a bronze medal at the European Championship held in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
She said that she was out of the championship competition due to an injury:
"I prepared well for the competition. My goal was to become a champion. But I couldn't because I was injured. I couldn't continue because I suffered a serious rib injury and the referee removed me. Nevertheless, I did my best for the third place. My next goals are to win medals at the European and World Championships and the Olympics. I will try to do my best for this."
It should be noted that Jala Aliyeva, who competed in the 57 kg category, defeated Jenna Hemiaeni (Finland) in the match for third place at the European Championship and added her name to the list of medal winners.
