Azerbaijani athletes successfully competed at the Savate Assault World Championship and World Cup held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
According to "Report", Alakbar Khanmammadov (60 kg) won a gold medal at the world championship.
Yusif Khalilzadeh (48 kg), Umid Zeynalov (52 kg), Muhammad Mammadli (56 kg), Nijat Mammadli (65 kg), Nihat Guliyev (70 kg), Ali Beylarzadeh (75 kg) and Muhammad Suleymanov (85 kg) won bronze medals.
In the World Cup, Raul Huseynzade (30 kg) won a gold medal, while Ibrahim Ibrahimli (35 kg) and Beyrak Baghirov (85 kg) won bronze medals.
