Azerbaijani representative wins "silver" in Iran

Our badminton player Keisha Fatima Zahra won a silver medal at the 33rd "Iran Fajr International Challenge" tournament held in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Sport24.az reports that our badminton player, who started the competition from the 1/32 finals in the women's badminton individual competition, defeated rivals from Iran, Turkey, Bulgaria and India on the way to the final. Keisha faced Turkish badminton player Neslihan Arın in the decisive match for the gold medal. The game ended with a 2:0 (21-17, 21-14) victory for Neslihan, the rating favorite of the tournament. Our 21-year-old badminton player is currently ranked 49th in the World Badminton Federation rankings.
