"There was also an offer from the UFC. The reason I refused is the low fee.
This was stated by Azerbaijani MMA fighter Tofig Musayev in an interview with "Report".
The 35-year-old athlete, who signed a contract with the Global Fight League, said that he wants to hold 3-4 meetings in this organization within a year:
"This is an American organization. It's newly established. I think it will be interesting. My first fight will take place in April. The opponent is not yet known. The first fight should be in Dubai, and the second in Brazil. They have already attracted some of the most famous athletes in the world. The amount in the contract is also normal. They want to compete with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Former UFC champions have also signed contracts with this organization."
T.Musayev said that he also received an offer from the UFC:
"The reason I refused is that the fee is less than here. UFC has a name and advertising. It's not worth going there because the fee is not profitable."
It should be noted that Tofig Musayev previously fought in "Rizin" and "Bellator".
