An international sports karate tournament is being held in Tbilisi, organized by the World Karate Federation.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to AZERTAC that Anar Allahverdiyev, the head coach of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation's youth and junior sports karate team, said that Azerbaijan is represented by 20 karate fighters in this prestigious competition, which is attended by athletes from more than 60 countries around the world.
In this competition, athletes from our country over the age of 18 participate in various age categories. Winning the competition will earn our athletes rating points for the upcoming World Championship, European Games and other prestigious competitions. The head coach said that he hopes that our athletes will return home from this competition with a victory.
The tournament will end on January 11.
