Azerbaijani judoka Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg) won a bronze medal at the European Championship held in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.
According to "Report", our representative defeated Spaniard Francisco Garrigos by ippon in the match for third place.
This was the first award won by Azerbaijani judokas in the tournament.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented at the European Championship by a total of 15 judokas (9 men, 6 women) in 12 weight categories. The team will also compete in the mixed team competition.
