Azerbaijan will be represented for the first time by 6 athletes in 4 categories at the World Badminton Championship.
The press service of the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation informed "Report" about this.
6 of our badminton players have won the right to participate in 4 categories in the World Championship, which will be held in Paris, the capital of France, on August 25-31, 2025, based on the ranking. Edi Reski Dvichayo and Diki Pangestu in the men's singles competition, Keisha Fatima Zahra in the women's singles competition, the pair Agil Gabilov-Diki Pangestu in the men's doubles category, and the tandem Jahid Alhasanov-Hajar Nuriyeva in the mixed doubles category will represent our country in the World Championship.
It should be noted that one of the main goals of the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation's strategy for 2025-2028 is to ensure the regular participation of our badminton players in the European and World Championships in all categories in the coming years.
