Azerbaijan will be represented in two categories for the first time at the World Para-Badminton Championships.

Ibrahim Aliyev, Zahra Salmanli and Narmin Iskandarova will compete in 2 categories at the World Championships to be held in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, between February 7-14.
Ibrahim Aliyev will compete in the men's singles in the SU-5 category, and the tandem of young Paralympian Zahra Salmanli and Narmin Iskandarova will compete for the first time against the world's strongest para-badminton players in the women's doubles in the SH-6 category.
It should be noted that Ibrahim Aliyev and Zahra Salmanli won silver medals at the European Championships held in Turkey in October this year, setting another first.
