The World Fencing Championship will be held this month in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.
Idman.biz reports that the Azerbaijani team will be represented in several types of competitions.
Sabina Karimova, Leyla Ahmadova and Polina Kaspiarovich will compete in the women's sabre competition. They will compete in both individual and team championships. The leader of our sabre team, Anna Bashta, will miss the main tournament of the year due to injury.
In the men's sabre competition, Murad Akbarov, Abbas Huseynov, Saleh Mammadov and Magsud Huseynli will participate in individual and team competitions.
Also, Ruslan Hasanov will represent our country in the European Championship in the épée type.
Note that the World Fencing Championship will be held on July 22-30.
