The Azerbaijan Cup in Capoeira was organized by the Azerbaijan Capoeira Federation (ACF) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports on the occasion of Baku being selected as the "Sports Capital of the World" for 2026.

It was reported that capoeira representatives and clubs representing various regions of the country participated in the tournament held at the Balakhani Sports Center.
Within the framework of the Cup, competitions were held among children, adolescents, youth and adults in various age and weight categories.
According to the final results of the competition, the "Pernada Capoeira" club took third place, and "Nirvana Capoeira" took second place. The "Wolf Capoeira" Academy became the winner of the Azerbaijan Cup as the team with the most medals.
The main purpose of the event was to contribute to the development of capoeira in the country, expand the exchange of experience among athletes, and further strengthen Baku's position as an international sports center.
