The Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF) has issued a statement regarding protests by several clubs concerning the refereeing in the games of the XI round.
"Report" reports, citing the federation's press service, that the games were watched and re-analyzed.
ABF's statement:
"The Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF) has received protests from a number of clubs regarding the refereeing in the past games of the XI round. After all these complaints, the completed games of the round, under the leadership of the federation's sports director Turgay Zeytingoz, were watched and re-analyzed together with the expert staff of the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) and the chairman of the referees committee, Alakbar Hasanov. As a final result of the analysis, it was decided that there were no gross errors affecting the direct outcome of the games and that the referees were officiating at a normal game standard. Finally, Mr. Zeytingoz, speaking on behalf of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF), stated that if there are any clubs that continue to be dissatisfied after the final decision, he will organize another meeting with them and offer a joint viewing of the episodes that caused the protests.
It should be noted that after the two completed rounds of the season, the refereeing in the games was generally assessed as positive, and it was confirmed that there were no serious errors that would affect the direct outcome of the games".
