Azerbaijan was represented at the Council meeting of the World Badminton Federation (BWF), held in Paris, the capital of France.

The Azerbaijan Badminton Federation informed "Report" about this.

BWF Council members from different parts of the world came together at the meeting, where key management and strategic issues regarding the global development of badminton were discussed.

Taleh Ziyadov, President of the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation, participated in the meeting as a BWF Council member representing Europe.

Taleh Ziyadov was elected to the BWF Council for a term of four years at the 86th BWF Annual General Meeting held in Simen, China, in April 2025. The BWF Council represents 203 member countries worldwide and unites 600 million badminton fans and 300 million players. The Council's work focuses on strategic planning, governance oversight, and promoting the development of badminton on all continents.

The Council meeting, in which Azerbaijan was also represented, was held during the World Championship, one of the most prestigious badminton events.
