İdman.biz reports that this was stated by Aygül Ağayeva, head of security and operations at Baku City Circuit Operations Company, at the first press conference dedicated to the competition.
She stated that serious work is being done regarding the accommodation of athletes: "As you know, an Organizing Committee has been established for the event, and relevant government agencies have been included in it. Together with the members of the Organizing Committee, accommodation places in the regions were inspected. We have certain difficulties and shortcomings. Work has begun to eliminate these problems. We are currently in the construction and repair phase. Ganja and Khankendi stadiums are under construction. Shortcomings have also been identified in other regions, and work is currently underway to solve the problems."
It should be noted that the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games will be held at the Ganja city stadium. In total, competitions will be held in 12 sports facilities in 23 sports. About 5550 participants are expected in the Games. In addition to the CIS countries, other countries are also planned to be invited to the event. Media accreditation will begin in May.
