France rugby player Axel Berthemye has been disqualified for biting an opponent during a World Cup match.
"Report" informs that the International Rugby Federation has issued a statement about this.
The incident occurred during the 1/4 final match against Ireland (18:13). In the second half of the match, the French player bit his opponent, Ifa Ueyferi. He was therefore sentenced to a 12-game ban.
A. Berthemye admitted the violation and apologized to the public via social media.
