In China, a man tried to teach a robot kung fu elements using a special motion capture suit.
Idman.Biz reports that the result was not as expected due to some technical errors during the process.
During the training, human movements were recorded with sensors and transmitted to the robot in real time. The aim was to accurately teach the robot the basic movements of martial arts.
However, due to programming or coordination errors at some stages, the robot was unable to repeat the movements correctly and performed them on the wrong trajectory. This led to the spread of interesting and somewhat funny images on social networks.
Experts say that such technologies are still in the development stage and that further improvement of both software and mechanical parts is needed to transmit human movements to robots with complete accuracy.
It should be noted that although motion capture technology is usually used in the film industry, game production and medicine, it has also been actively tested in robotics in recent years.
