ARAF official: The European Championship of our Chovgan national team is the triumph of our national identity

Emil Seyidov, Secretary General of the Equestrian Federation of Azerbaijan Republic (ARAF), commented on the Azerbaijani national team's gold medal at the European Chovgan Championship held in Poland.

The ARAF official made a statement to "Report" about this.

He reminded that the European Championship in this sport was held for the first time:

"It was truly a great feeling of pride that the Azerbaijani team became the champion. The European championship of our Chovgan national team is not only a sporting success, but also a triumph of our national identity, history and cultural heritage. This historic victory fills us with endless pride. Chovgan is a game that has lived in the spirit and cultural memory of our people for centuries. Today, its brilliance in the international arena, its recognition at the level of the European Championship, is of great importance in terms of restoring and introducing Azerbaijan's ancient equestrian traditions to the world."

According to him, this success is also the result of the attention and care shown to Chovgan in the country, systematic activity, and the determination of our athletes:

"I hope that this victory will also be a source of inspiration for new generations and will further increase interest in Chovgan. On this occasion, I sincerely congratulate the members of our national team, coaches, and everyone who contributed to this work. Greater goals await us ahead, and this success is a solid start on that path."

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team defeated Malta 6:2 in the final match of the European Championship.
