Thirty-seven-year-old Polish man Andrzej Bargiel has become the first person to conquer Everest and ski down it without an oxygen tank.
Idman.biz reports that a video taken from the summit shows Bargiel breathing heavily due to the thin air.
It took the climber four days to ascend to the summit and two days to descend. During the descent, he skillfully maneuvered through narrow ridges, steep slopes, and dangerous cliffs. The most dangerous part of the descent was the Khumbu Icefall, where the climber could only navigate the labyrinth of shifting ice and deep crevasses without safety ropes with the help of a drone controlled by his brother.
Bargiel chose autumn to avoid the crowds of tourists on the mountain.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has already congratulated his compatriot on his historic achievement.
