All sports federations of Azerbaijan are working to increase mass participation.
According to "Report", this was stated by Elnur Mammadov, Head of the Sports Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The Ministry official shared his views at a meeting of the Youth and Sports Committee of the Milli Majlis with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the National Olympic Committee and sports federations.
He recalled that the III CIS Games were held in Azerbaijan last year:
"This time we took second place in the competition. All the winners were local athletes. Federations are training athletes who can compete. The III CIS Games also took place in Khankendi. The guests were also satisfied with this."
