The experienced hockey player scored his milestone goal in a match against the Colorado Avalanche. Currently, the 40-year-old forward has 923 goals in 1562 league championship games and 77 goals in 161 playoff games. Thus, he has moved one step closer to the absolute record of the legendary Canadian Wayne Gretzky (1016 goals) in terms of total goals scored. Currently, the difference between these two stars is only 16 goals.
