Aleksandr Vinokurov, a famous Kazakh cyclist, 2012 London Olympics champion and 2000 Sydney Games silver medalist, will visit Azerbaijan. The multiple stage winner of the "Tour de France" and "Vuelta" has been invited to the international "Baku-Khankendi" cycling tour.
Idman.Biz was informed about this by Parviz Musayev, the head of the press service of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation. According to him, the 52-year-old Kazakh athlete will participate in the upcoming competition as an honorary guest.
The "Baku-Khankendi" race will be held from May 10 to 14. The cycling tour will cover 21 cities, and 25 teams representing 21 countries will compete in the tournament.
