The Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation (AKAF) regularly carries out promotional and advocacy work to involve children and adolescents in this sport.
İdman.biz reports that, as part of the work to ensure mass participation, the federation, together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, will organize an event dedicated to June 1 - International Children's Day.
At the public event, which will be held in the "Dede Gorgud" park near the "Gənclik" metro station, children and teenagers will have the opportunity to try themselves in amateur boats.
Trial runs will be supervised by professional teachers. At the same time, various musical programs and entertaining quizzes are planned for children to have an interesting weekend.
Note that the event will start at 17:00. Admission to the area is free.
