Another sensational deal has taken place in the collectibles world. A rare card belonging to Aaron Judge, the star player of the "New York Yankees" baseball team in the USA, has found a buyer for a fantastic price.
İdman.Biz reports that an anonymous buyer paid $5.2 million (8 million 840 thousand AZN) for this card.
We are talking about the "Bowman Chrome Draft Superfractor" card, which was printed in only one copy in 2013. What makes this card valuable is not only that it is a single copy, but also that it has the athlete's personal signature on it.

Interestingly, the price of this collectible has increased many times in just a few years. So, when the same card was put up for auction in 2022, its price was only 324 thousand dollars (550 thousand AZN).
However, this is not the most expensive card in sports history. Currently, the world record belongs to the "Upper Deck Exquisite" card from 2007-2008, which bears the signatures of basketball legends Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. That card was sold for $12.9 million (21 million 930 thousand AZN) last August. A slightly smaller amount was paid for a 1952 card of baseball player Mickey Mantle ($12.6 million).
