A running race will be held jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation (AAF) and the "Zafar" Running Club.

It was reported that the competition will be held within the framework of the "Baku - World Sports Capital" events.
The marathon, dedicated to the 87th anniversary of Tarverdi Aliyev, world and European champion among veterans, will cover a distance of 12 km. The champion himself will also compete in the race, which will be held in the Boyukshor Ecological Park.
It should be noted that the first 3 winners in the tournament, which will be attended by marathon runners over 40, 50 and 60 years old, will be awarded cash prizes, gifts, medals and certificates.
