New records have been set at the Diamond League stage held in the USA.
İdman.biz reports that Kenyan Faith Kipyegon renewed her world record in the women's 1500m race with a result of 3.48.68.
The 31-year-old athlete's previous high performance (3.49.04) was recorded in Paris-2024. Kipyegon is the winner of the last three Olympic Games in the 1500m race.
Another Kenyan runner, Beatrice Chebet, set a world record in the women's 5000m race. The 25-year-old athlete showed a result of 13.58.06. Previously, the record belonged to Ethiopian Gudaf Tsegay (14.00.21 in 2023).
It should be noted that Chebet won two gold medals at the Paris Olympics, taking first place in the 5000 and 10000 meters races.
