On June 15, a meeting was held in an online format between the Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Farid Gayibov and the Minister of Popular Power for Sports of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Franklin Cardozo.
İdman.Biz reports that during the meeting, the parties discussed the expansion of sports relations between the two countries, the exchange of experience in high-performance sports, opportunities for technical cooperation in preparation for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games to be held in Los Angeles, USA, and the prospects for signing a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of sports.
Additionally, an exchange of ideas was held on athlete exchange programs, cooperation in gymnastics, boxing, taekvondo, and wrestling, as well as potential joint projects in the field of sports technology and applied sciences.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Venezuela to Azerbaijan, Kristofer Martinezz Berroteran.
