Azerbaijani taekwondo practitioner Qashim Magomedov shared his thoughts on the "Fair Play Spirit" award he received in Greece.
In an interview with "Report", he said that he considers being awarded the prize a great honor.
The athlete said that he has always tried to adhere to the principles of fair play in life and in sports:
"It is a great honor for me to receive the 'Fair Play Spirit' award. This award was presented to me for my exemplary behavior towards my opponent at the Summer Olympic Games. I would like to thank the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee, the European Fair Play Movement, and the jury for nominating me for the special value given to fair play values. Fair play is a way of life. Whether in sports or in every moment of our lives, we have a choice - to act with respect, honesty and dignity. I have always tried to adhere to the principles of fair play in life and in sports."
It should be noted that the silver medalist of Paris-2024 was awarded the "Fair Play Spirit" award of the European Fair Play Movement at an event held in the Olympic city of Greece for his exemplary behavior in sports and commitment to ethical values.
