The Congress and General Assembly of the European Fair Play Movement (EFPM) was held in Olympia, Greece.
Idman.biz reports that elections for the presidency and the Executive Committee of the organization were also held at the assembly.
Belgian Filip Housiaux was elected President of the EFPM. Khazar Isayev, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Fair Play Commission, was elected member of the EFPM Executive Committee for a term of 4 years.
Khazar Isayev was also awarded the John Barotta Award by the International Fair Play Movement.
It should be noted that within the framework of the event, our taekwondo player, Paris-2024 silver medalist Qashim Magomedov, was awarded the "Fair Play Spirit" award of the European Fair Play Movement for his exemplary behavior in sports and commitment to ethical values.
