The taekwondo national teams of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have close ties and friendly relations.
"Report" reports that these words were said by Mura Nazarov, the coach of the Kazakhstan team, who is in Baku for training camp, in an interview with the press service of the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation.
The specialist stated that they came from the city of Aktau:
"We represent the "Jas batyr" club. One member of our team, who competes among men in the 68 kg weight category, is the second number in the national team. One of our female athletes is also the second member of the national team in the 57 kg weight category. We have close ties and friendly relations with the Azerbaijani national team. We know your athletes well. Both your male and female taekwondo athletes perform well and achieve results in competitions. By the way, I congratulate you on Gashim Magomedov's silver medal at the Olympics. The Kazakhstan Cup will be held in July. We are preparing for that competition here."
It should be noted that the Kazakhstan taekwondo athletes are participating in joint training sessions with the Azerbaijani national team consisting of adults and youth. As part of the preparation process, which will last until June 26, mutual exchange of experience is carried out between the teams.
