Azerbaijani judoka Balabay Aghayev (60 kg) won a gold medal at the "Grand Slam" tournament held in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.
According to "Report", the 26-year-old athlete faced local judoka Mehrzod Sufiev in the final.
Aghayev emerged victorious from the match and won the gold award.
Today, Yashar Najafov (66 kg) will wrestle against Uzbekistani Artyom Shturbabin in the match for third place.
It should be noted that the "Grand Slam" tournament will end on May 4.
