The European Judo Cup among juniors has ended in Istanbul, Turkey.
Idman.biz reports that Azerbaijani judokas won 4 more medals on the second day of the competition.
Aslan Kotsoev, competing in the 90 kg weight category, won all 5 of his matches and rose to the highest step of the podium. In the final, our judoka defeated Kazakh representative Gleb Azarov.
Mehdi Abbasov (81 kg), Ramazan Ahmadov (+100 kg) and Khadija Gadashova (52 kg) won bronze medals.
It should be noted that Nizami Imanov (66 kg) won gold, and Nihad Mamishov and Farid Garayev (both 60 kg) won bronze medals on the first day of the competition.
In total, the Azerbaijani team finished the Istanbul European Cup with 2 gold and 5 bronze medals, taking 4th place in the overall team standings among 31 countries, and 2nd place among men.
