The Azerbaijan judo team has completed the European Cup held in Istanbul with 2 gold and 5 bronze medals.
According to "Report", referring to the press service of the federation, Aslan Kotsoyev, who competed in the 90 kg weight category on the second day of the competition, won all 5 of his matches and climbed to the highest step of the podium.
In the final, our judoka defeated the representative of Kazakhstan, Gleb Azarov.
Mehdi Abbasov (-81 kg), Ramazan Ahmadov (+100 kg) and Khadija Gadashova (-52 kg) won bronze medals.
It should be noted that on the first day of the competition, Nizami Imanov (-66 kg) won gold, while Nihad Mamishov and Farid Garayev (both -60 kg) won bronze medals. The Azerbaijan team took 4th place in the overall team score among 31 countries, and 2nd place among men.
