"Even if the Romanian national team did not come to Baku with a full squad, they are considered the Brazil of Minifootball." These words were said by Davud Karimi, the former goalkeeper of the Azerbaijani national team, in his statement to Sport24.az.
He shared his thoughts on the match that the Azerbaijani national minifootball team will play against the reigning world champion Romania in the 1/8 final stage of the world championship:
"It will be a very difficult game. But I trust our national team. If our football players play well, they are capable of defeating anyone, regardless of the opponent's identity. Our most difficult game in the group was against Bahrain. It was the first match, so there was pressure and excitement. There are very strong opponents in the championship. The potential of our team allows us to become world champions."
It should be noted that this match will start at 20:30. This will be the third match of the day.
