"The first game of the season is always difficult because we don't know the opponent and the players in the squad very well. You don't know what style they will play, and that makes it difficult." These words were said by Rustam Mammadov, the head coach of Zaqatala, a representative of the First League, in his statement to Sport24.az.
The head coach of the team, which started the season with 3 points, shared his thoughts about the game against Jabrayil:
"The opponent had young, enthusiastic players. It is a team with a high desire to fight. I was satisfied with my team's performance. Yes, we had mistakes, there are many things we need to work on. Our team gathered very late, there are players who trained for 2-3 days and went to the match. They have not yet fully adapted to the team. We have physical and tactical difficulties. We will get better from game to game. If we won, we are satisfied with the result. We are pleased that the children fulfill the tasks given to them. However, I am not satisfied with the physical condition of the players. This does not depend on them. As I said, we gathered very late. We didn't have much time. It takes some time for the players to adapt to each other. The championship will be intense. Tension has been going on in recent years anyway, there is no clear favorite or outsider in the league."
It should be noted that the Zaqatala-Jabrayil match ended with a 1:0 victory for the home team.
