Ilya Zabarnyi, defender of French club PSG and the Ukrainian national team, shared his thoughts on the matches against France (September 5) and Azerbaijan (September 9) in Group D of the 2026 World Cup qualifying round. Sport24.az reports that the defender, in a statement to tribuna.com, said that the match against our national team will be difficult:
"I am really looking forward to these matches. They are very important for both us and all of Ukraine. Therefore, I expect that we will prepare very well. We have a very difficult opponent, but we can play against them. We also have our second away game against Azerbaijan. A difficult meeting awaits us. Because the opponent is also difficult. We need to get points now so as not to leave everything to the end."
