Yuri Vernidub spoke about the training camp and the game against "Zira"

"Neftchi" head coach Yuri Vernidub gave an interview to the club's official website. Sport24.az reports that the Ukrainian specialist has assessed the training camp:

"I really liked the training camp, it was organized at a very high level. Therefore, I would like to express my special thanks to our management. They did everything to create comfortable conditions for us for the training and development of our team. I would also like to thank the players for the training camp. I am grateful to them for fulfilling the requirements and loads we set, working well, maintaining the pace and showing improvement. We are satisfied and happy with this. I would also like to note that we are happy that there are no seriously injured players in the team. True, some players have micro-injuries, but we will eliminate them in a short time and achieve positive results. The only thing that disappointed me was Ortiz's absence from the training process due to fever, but I think his condition will normalize in 1-2 days. Overall, I am very pleased with the training camp. I don't want to single out anyone in the team, because everyone was training properly and well. The reason I don't single out anyone is because we are a big family. We are proud of the atmosphere in the team right now. The only player I want to mention is Murad Mammadov. If he continues like this, he has a great future ahead of him. I would also like to thank the players who joined us from "Neftchi-2" - Nihad Aliyev and Mahammad Mammadli. I am grateful to them for trying and helping us in the training process. True, they didn't get a chance to play much, but we will continue to monitor their development and involve them in training processes in the future. Everything is just beginning now. We have a week of preparation ahead of us against a very serious opponent like "Zira". "Zira" is a very good team. We have a lot of work to do for analysis. We will analyze and prepare for this game.

I don't see a serious need to change anything at the moment. Because there are enough players in the team, everyone is willing and trying, and this satisfies me. However, if there is an interesting player worthy of "Neftchi" level and he expresses his desire to join our team, we will definitely consider this option. Frankly, it is difficult to talk about this topic, because every coach wants to strengthen the team. But we have players now and we are ready to fulfill the tasks set and improve the current situation.
