Yuri Vernidub about "Neftchi"'s game with "Qarabagh" and attitude towards all rivals

The specialist commented on the issue of postponing the match between "Neftchi" and "Qarabagh", which has been discussed in the press in recent days.

"If I am told that the game is postponed, we will not play. If it is not postponed, of course, we will go out and play our game. 12 teams are competing in the Azerbaijan Premier League. We are one of them, and the remaining 11 teams are considered our rivals. Every match is equally important to me. It doesn't matter if the opponent is "Qarabagh", "Sumgayit" or "Kapaz". My main goal is to win every game, and that is exactly the task I have been given," Vernidub emphasized.

Y.Vernidub stated that they showed a good game in the first half of the match against "Gabala".

"We opened the score and we also had opportunities to score the second goal. "Gabala" almost had no goal episodes. What happened in the second half was more related to psychological factors. The team had not been able to win in this stadium for a long time. Because we were ahead in the score, probably the players preferred to defend more. This is not the football we want to play.

We were expecting a better quality game on the field. Before the match, I told the players that winning today is important for us to continue our journey. They coped with this task and I thank the team for it. Games can be forgotten, but the result always remains in memory," the head coach added.

The match "Neftchi" - "Gabala" ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the Baku club.
