"My contract with Kapaz has expired. They haven't offered me a new deal."
Idman.biz reports that these words were said to Sport24.az by Belarusian footballer Yegor Khvalko.
The 28-year-old defender said that the situation with his career is not yet clear:
"We had a conversation at the end of the season. The management said they wanted to sign a contract with me. But there haven't been any updates since then."
Khvalko said that several clubs are interested in him: "There are options. But so far, no one has offered an official contract. I wanted to stay in Kapaz. After all, I have been in this team for three years. But such things happen in sports life."
The player answered the question "maybe you are not included in the plans of the new head coach Adil Shukurov" in this way: "I don't know. Maybe he doesn't want me. If there is an offer, I will first consider continuing my career in Azerbaijan. Because I feel comfortable here, I'm used to the country."
