"It was clear that "Omonia"'s attack line was strong. We felt this even in the game with "Zira" last year." These words were said by Yashar Vahabzade in his statement to Sport24.az.
The experienced specialist shared his views on the first match of the III qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, in which "Araz-Nakhchivan" lost 0:4 to the Cypriot representative "Omonia" in Baku the previous day:
"Araz-Nakhchivan" defended weakly as a team. It's football, such matches are inevitable. After this, the team needs to recover and prepare well psychologically for the game in Cyprus. This match needs to be forgotten."
He also commented on "Sabah"'s defeat (0:1) to Bulgarian "Levski" in the 3rd qualifying round of the Conference League:
"Sabah" showed an equal level of play. If there had been a little accuracy in the attack line, they would have been able to score. They lost concentration in the last seconds. It is possible that this was due to fatigue. Nothing is over in this duel yet. "Sabah" can win in the return match."
It should be noted that the return match between the parties will be held on August 14.
