"It was an important victory for us. My players did their best in difficult weather conditions and on a pitch that was not in good condition." These words were said by Ibrahim Uzunca, the head coach of "Khankendi", in his statement to Sport24.az.
The experienced specialist commented on his team's victory over "Quba" in the 12th round of the Second League:
"When the score was 1:0, we conceded a goal out of nowhere. The game was completely under our control. Although the condition of the field was not encouraging, my players quickly adapted to the match. We had episodes that we could not take advantage of. The goal we conceded was an unlucky goal for a goalkeeper. During the break, I told the players that there are such goals in football, not to be discouraged, and that we will definitely win. In the second half, the game was still under our control. We have a good team. We believe that we will win gold medals at the end of the season. I have a request from the referees. We want the game to continue on the field. Do not blow the whistle for everything. They are also human beings, they can make mistakes. But I ask them to be more careful."
It should be noted that the "Quba" - "Khankendi" match ended with the victory of the guests - 1:2.
