The 31-year-old football player, who was called to the national team after a 2-year break, shared his impressions of this, their victory in the "FIFA Series-2026" tournament, and answered other questions.

– We would like to know your impressions of winning the "FIFA Series" tournament. What are your thoughts on both games?
– Of course, we really wanted to become champions in this tournament. I am very happy that we achieved this. Although the first opponent was different in terms of strength, the second opponent was really a very good collective.
– You appeared in both games and scored a goal. Did you prepare for this in advance? Did you have a conversation with head coach Aykhan Abbasov and what were his recommendations to you?
– I had the opportunity to work with our head coach Aykhan Abbasov in "Zira" before. For this reason, I was familiar with his system. I knew what to do in training and in the game. Before the game, I was doing my best in training to get a chance. Our head coach gave me this chance.
– Regarding the penalty shootout, head coach Aykhan Abbasov noted that he was happy that Azerbaijani football players scored. Did the coach determine in advance who would take the penalty kicks, or did you take the initiative yourself?
– Yes, this was the head coach's decision. Everyone showed a desire to win in the game and in the penalty shootout, which is very gratifying.
– How did it affect you to be called up to the national team and participate in the games after a long time? Were you able to fully show yourself? After this performance, do you believe that you will be invited to the Nations League games in September?
– The answer to this question mainly concerns our head coach. For my part, I tried to do my best in training and games. We have two more friendly games ahead, then the Nations League will start. Until then, I want to improve my form further and get an invitation to the training camp in the summer.
– After winning the tournament, various opinions were expressed on social networks. What is your attitude to these comments? In general, what did this tournament give you?
– My personal opinion is that if we play in the national team under the Azerbaijani flag, every victory, every goal is precious and important. Azerbaijan won the tournament and this is the most important thing. We always want to represent our country in the best way and make our people happy.
– What are your goals in "Partizani" after these games?
– Of course, my motivation is very high. I am already focused on "Partizani". Our job here is to play in UEFA and qualify for European cups. This success in the national team is a great motivation for me.
