Vusal Iskandarli, who returned to the Albanian championship, has joined the "Partizani" club this time.
Idman.biz reports that the experienced midfielder spoke about his transfer and future plans in an interview with Futbolinfo.az.
He stated that he received a longer-term contract offer from the management: "Thank God, they took my wish into account and we signed a contract that can be extended for 1 year with the agreement of both parties. Albania has been a successful league for me. That's why returning here gives me good feelings."
The 29-year-old football player previously played for "Boluspor". He emphasized that his relations with the Turkish club ended on a positive note: "My contract with Boluspor was for one and a half years. The term ended and I decided not to extend it. We parted on very good terms. In fact, I received an offer from "Partizani" in the winter, but at that time it was considered more appropriate to stay in "Boluspor". In the summer, I had offers from other countries, and three clubs from Albania were interested. In the end, "Partizani" was the most suitable option for me."
Talking about the adaptation process to his new club, Iskandarli said that everything is fine: "I have never had adaptation problems in any club I have gone to. God willing, everything will be fine here too. My relationship with my teammates and the coaching staff is very good. Some of them are even football players I competed against when I played for "Egnatia" before. I was a little behind physically because I joined the team late. But thank God, everything is fine now. Preparation for the new season went well. Most importantly, I completed the heavy training without injury. We will see the benefits of these loads in the upcoming games."
Sharing his thoughts on returning to the national team, the midfielder is determined in this matter: "Our head coach Fernandu Santuş always watches and invites players who wear uniforms. I will do my best to get an invitation to the national team. Time will tell the future, but my thought is still to play abroad. My main goal now is to win the championship with my team."
