Former Azerbaijan national team and "Qarabag" striker Vugar Nadirov has left his post as head coach of "Shamkir", representing the II League.
The specialist himself informed fanat.az about this.
He said that after the 0:1 defeat against "Garadag Lokbatan" at home yesterday as part of the VI round of the league, he discussed the situation with the management and terminated the cooperation.
It should be noted that "Shamkir", which scored nine points in six games, is currently in 6th place in the tournament table. Nadirov was at the "helm" of the western representative since the summer of 2024. Under his leadership, the team finished the 2024/25 season in 5th place. The former forward of the national team left the position of head coach this summer, but later returned to "Shamkir".
