Idman.biz reports that these words were said by former "Neftchi" defender Vojislav Stankovic in his statement to Futbolxeber.az.
He stated that he wished his former team good results: "I wish Samir Abasov and 'Neftchi' success in the new season. I would very much like the team to achieve good results. 'Neftchi' must fight for the championship."
Stankovic noted that the new transfers will strengthen the team: "I know that several new players have already been brought into the squad during the summer break. They will help the team. Samir Abasov will build a strong team and fight for the championship. We will see together whether he can cope with this. I would very much like 'Neftchi' to be able to do this and become champion again."
It should be noted that Vojislav Stankovic became champion with "Neftchi" in 2021.
