"Galatasaray" has announced that Victor Osimhen, whose arm was broken in the "Liverpool" match, has undergone surgery.
According to Lent.az, citing Turkish media, Osimhen is expected to be out of the green fields for approximately 5-6 weeks, and the date of his return will be determined based on the recovery process.
The club said in a statement: "Our player Victor Osimhen has undergone surgery due to an arm fracture. Further information will be provided through our official channels after the operation."
Osimhen described the moment he was injured in his home country, Nigeria, as follows: "The ball was coming, I went with the defender, my hand was empty, I didn't know he put his knee on me. My hand was empty, his knee hit my arm. At first I didn't realize it was broken. I thought it would pass before the game was over. When I tried to run, that thing weighed me down. I felt my arm fall. I tried to run, but it didn't work."
The 26-year-old striker has scored 19 goals and provided 7 assists in 26 games for "Galatasaray" this season.
