"Qarabag" will not allow a sensation today.
This was stated to "Report" by the chairman of the AFFA Coaching Committee, Vagif Sadigov.
The experienced specialist shared his views on the return match of the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, which the Azerbaijani champion will hold today in Baku against the North Macedonian representative "Shkendija":
"Expectations from "Qarabag" in the European Cups are high. I believe that the team will show a meaningful game in the return match and achieve a positive result. In the play-off, we may face one of the teams that are familiar to us and that we have defeated before. We must also prepare seriously for the match against these rivals and rise to the League stage of Europe's number one tournament. The team's game, the potential of the players and the club's experience allow this".
V. Sadigov said that the North Macedonian representative is not weak:
"Let's not think about the sensation. Every opponent should be treated with respect and seriousness. Everyone in Europe knows how to play football. We should not think that "Qarabag" won easily in the first match. Our champion spends a lot of energy for this. I think the team will not allow any sensation today either. The club's goals are big. A new squad is also being formed for this. I think the team will continue its way in the Champions League".
It should be noted that the "Qarabag" - "Shkendija" match will start today at 20:00 at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium. In the first match held away, the "kholan horses" won - 1:0.
