"Sabah" will delight fans by achieving successful results in the UEFA Conference League.
This was stated by Vagif Sadigov, Chairman of the AFFA Coaches Committee, in his statement to "Report".
He advised not to look down on any opponent:
"In fact, we believed that we would pass the "Sele" team as well. "Sabah" had the potential for this. If we look at the goals scored, we will see that the head coach needs time to eliminate the shortcomings. In the duels with the next opponent "Petrokub", it is possible to achieve a positive result by showing a superior game. We must understand one thing, we should not look down on any opponent. Also, we should not allow anyone to treat us this way. "Sabah"'s game showed that there is no need to be afraid of any opponent. It is also very important to treat the opponent with respect. The matches with "Petrokub" must be approached very seriously".
The former head coach of the Azerbaijan national team emphasized that "Sabah" showed itself well in both games with "Sele":
"The first match showed that the return match will be tense. The ball conceded in the last minutes in the first game affected the overall result. Nevertheless, I think that "Sabah" showed itself well in both games. I believe that the team will delight the fans by achieving successful results in the UEFA Conference League."
It should be noted that the capital club lost to "Sele" (Slovenia) in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League with a score of 2:3, 3:3 in two games.
The team led by Valdas Dambrauskas will face the Moldovan team "Petrokub" in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. The Baku club will play the first game away.
The matches of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League will take place on July 24 and 31.
