"We made the decision today."
This was stated to Idman.biz by Vagif Javadov, the former head coach of "Sumgayit".
He commented on his separation from the representative of the "City of Youth". According to Javadov, they made this decision after discussing it with the management: "I will continue my activities in "Sumgayit" after this. For now, I'm thinking of taking a break, and then I have lessons for the PRO category. I will continue to work both there and at the "Sumgayit" football club. Of course, we are coaches, and if we are in this profession, you can be in this club today and in another club tomorrow. If there are offers, why not? But for now, I will continue my activities in "Sumgayit"."
He emphasized that becoming a head coach was not a hasty step at all: "I don't think I rushed, I wasn't going to start at the age of fifty. Everything is an experience. I express my gratitude to the management of the "Sumgayit" club for giving me this chance. If the team has stayed in the Premier League, it means that I also had a role in this."
It should be noted that Vagif Javadov led "Sumgayit" in 28 games in all tournaments (25 Premier League, 3 Azerbaijan Cup). In these matches, the team was remembered with 7 wins, 6 draws and 15 losses.
