Fans of the Italian football clubs "Roma" and "Fiorentina" may be banned from stadiums for the remainder of the season.
Idman.Biz reports that this was reported by the Italian press.
The incident occurred when "Fiorentina" fans traveling to Bologna encountered "Roma" supporters moving in the opposite direction near the Casalecchio di Reno commune.
The situation quickly spiraled out of control, and a serious riot broke out involving approximately 200 fans. Police were forced to intervene in the incident to restore order.
Currently, the competent authorities are preparing for meetings regarding sanctions, and one of the options is the imposition of a complete ban on away games for fans of both clubs.
Ezio Maria Simonelli, head of the Italian Serie A, sharply condemned the violence, emphasizing that such cases that threaten public safety are unacceptable in Italian football.
